Hey there, to set a password for a newly created user in UTM Stack for an on-premises installation, you need to configure the email option first.
This is because UTM Stack will send an email to the user with a link to reset their password.
To configure email in UTM Stack, please follow these steps:
1. Log in to UTM Stack using your administrator account.
2. Click on "Settings" in the left-hand navigation bar.
3. Select the "Application settings" tab.
4. Enter the details of the email server you wish to use, such as the server address, port, and authentication and others configs.
5. Configure the "From" email address to be used for sending emails.
6. Click on "Save" to save the changes.
Once you have configured email, you will be able to send a password reset link to a user if necessary. To do so, please follow these steps:
1. Log in to UTM Stack using your administrator account.
2. Click on "Users" in the left-hand navigation bar.
3. Select the user you wish to reset the password for by clicking on their username.
4. Click on "Send password reset link" in the user's options section.
5. The user will receive an email with a link to reset their password.
After email is configured, you can set a password for a newly created user by following the steps outlined in my previous response.
I hope this information helps you. If you have any further questions or issues, please let me know. I am here to provide you with the support that you need.
